Kiva Loan Update

Earlier this year, we used our Kiva account to make a loan to Yophesi in Uganda. I just received this awesome update about his progress:
Yophesi is now a 25 years old married man and a teacher by profession but also a maize produce dealer. He used the loan to buy a maize milling machine so as to supplement onto the small salary from teaching. His business is yielding higher profits compared to teaching and because of this, Yophesi managed to repay the loan quickly before the agreed period so as to get a new loan which he is also servicing very well. Yophesi is an ambitious man who keeps venturing into new businesses and due to this, he has started his private nursery and primary school which has helped to reduce on the long distances covered by school going young ones in his place Kyenjojo, Uganda.
We are so proud to be able to help people like Yophesi to build their own lives, who in turn help those in their own communities!
