Spring has sprung!

This month, our Author Spotlight is on a wonderful poet, Douglas Florian. His only rule in poetry is that there are no rules - we love that!

Here is a poem from Douglas Florian's book, Handsprings.

Spring is great
For growing grass.
Spring has zing
And spring has sass.
Spring is super.
Spring is spry.
Spring is when
Things start to fly.
Spring is great
For many reasons.
Spring does handsprings
Round the seasons.

What do YOU think of when it comes to springtime? What are some of the things you might see, touch, hear, taste, or smell in the spring?

Let me know in a comment!

Ooooh... I love that smell! I also love the sound right after it rains, when the leaves are rustling and the water is dripping off the trees.
